Summer 2023 aquatics lesson registration begins at 8am online on Tuesday, June 13. Please note: you can only be registered in one swim lesson at at time. Our Swim for Life - Swimmer lessons are for kids ages 6-12 and go from Swimmer 1 to Swimmer 6. We divide our swimming lessons by age and ability. If your child is between the ages of 3 and 5, register them for a Swim for Life Preschool lesson. Our lesson conversion chart will help determine your child's new swimming lesson level. We have transitioned from the Canadian Red Cross swim program to Life Saving Society's Swim for Life Learn to Swim Program. Receive coaching and mentoring from City employees.They also protect swimmers, alongside City lifeguards. ![]() Junior Lifeguard Job Shadow - teens help with swim lessons. Training is offered once during the summer season. It is a prerequisite for the Job Shadow camp. Junior Lifeguard Training Camp - teaches teens water safety and basic rescue skills. Get trained and then get paid to be a lifeguard for Sunnyvale Aquatics. Lifeguards are an essential part of keeping our aquatic facilities safe year-round. You will be notified and given the opportunity to register for an available call or receive a full refund. Classes that do not meet the minimum enrollment will be canceled.Children in diapers must wear a swim diaper under their swimsuit during class.Children progress at different rates and may need to take more than one session to pass a level.Children may only be registered for one class per session.Classes will not be overbooked to accommodate a child registered in the incorrect level.If the student does not meet the minimum class requirements on the first day of class, they may transfer to the appropriate level (if space is available).For help determining a child’s swim level, email us.
